Seeing Pain as Stuck Energy

Seeing Pain as Stuck Energy

When I was a kid going through surgery after surgery, pain was just a fact of life. Nobody explained it. You hurt, you rested, you moved on. It was not until I found Pranic Healing that I started to see pain in a whole new way.

Pranic Healing taught me that the body runs on energy, and that energy is always moving. When it flows freely, you feel light and easy. When it gets stuck in one spot, that spot starts to feel heavy, tight, and sore. Think of a stream. Water moves along smooth and clear. Drop a pile of branches in it and the water backs up behind them. The spot below the pile goes dry and the spot above it swells. That backed up place is a lot like what a sore shoulder or a stiff knee can feel like. Something in the flow got blocked, and the body is asking for help getting it moving again.

I am not a doctor, and I am not telling you to skip your doctor. This is my perspective from years of practice, nothing more. But seeing pain this way changed how I take care of myself. Instead of fighting the soreness or pushing through it, I slow down and listen to it. I notice where the stuck feeling is. Then I work with it, gently, until it starts to move.

Here is a simple way to try it yourself. It takes about five minutes, and you can do it with our salve or without it.

First, sit down and take three slow breaths. Put your attention on the spot that bothers you. Notice how it feels without judging it. Heavy? Tight? Warm? Just notice.

Second, hold your hand a few inches above that spot and slowly sweep downward, like you are brushing dust off a table. In Pranic Healing we call this sweeping, and the idea is simple. You are helping the stuck energy move along instead of sitting still. Do that a few times. There is no wrong way to do it.

Third, take a little salve and rub it in slowly, in circles. As you rub, picture the area loosening up, like the branches clearing out of that stream. Many customers tell me this part is their favorite. The massage matters as much as the salve. Your hands, your attention, and a few quiet minutes can do a lot to support comfort.

That is really the whole idea. Pain is not the enemy. A lot of the time it is just energy that stopped moving, asking you to help it along.

If you want to try this routine tonight, our Pain Relief Salve comes in Original and Wintergreen, and both are made right here in Michigan with ingredients like arnica, turmeric, and shea butter. Every batch gets my Pranic Healing Energy before it ships, because I believe what goes into the jar matters.

Soothe. Nourish. Thrive.
